The Silent Casualties are a 60s rock band formed in Liverpool in late 1965, though they'd later relocate to London. The core members met at a anti-conscription rally outside a recruitment office: Danny Wright (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) - 19, working-class kid from Toxteth who'd already received his draft papers Michael "Mick" Hartley (lead guitar) - 20, art school dropout, older brother killed in a training accident preparing for deployment James Sullivan (bass) - 19, son of a decorated WWII veteran who expected him to serve Peter "Pete" Coleman (drums) - 18, youngest member, watching friends get shipped out one by one
